Of course the popular quilted casserole dish sized hot pad is on the list. This can also be made in a few hours, along with a pair of matching hot pads (shown below). Pair it with a nice set of wooden spoons, dish towels, or a new pyrex dish (this one is my favorite) and this makes a great gift!
3. Quilted Oven Mitts
To go along with your casserole hot pad, you can make up a set of these awesome hot pads. I love that they are bigger, less chance of burning your hand, and have the pocket to help hold them on.
4. Sew Together Bag
I’m going to be honest with you, these bags take me about a day to make. However they are amazing! I plan to make three more of these and am gifting them to all of the teen girls in my life as make up bags. I highly recommend checking out the videos from Red Rainboots Handmade.
She walks you through it all step-by-step. This isn’t a free pattern but I highly recommend it!
5. Twin Sized Patchwork Quilt Pattern
Nothing is better than a handmade quilt. If you’re looking for a quick quilted handmade gift, this patchwork quilt come together really fast! Back it with some minky fabric and it will be a couch favorite for years to come!
