So I have to admit I’ve got a thing for star quilts. They are kind of my jam! When I stumbled across this free Offset Star Quilt Pattern by Then Came June I just had to make it. In fact I eventually made two!
I used a fat quarter bundle I had by Christopher Thompson over at The Tattooed Quilter. It’s his blossom basic line and they all go so well together.
The rainbow variety of fabric just give me all of the happy feels!
I won’t lie, in order to make this lovely star pattern, there were a lot of flying geese to trim. Sitting out on the porch on a warm day with my favorite tools, it goes pretty quickly!
I failed to get many in progress photos of this Offset Star quilt pattern, but it is my all time favorite quilt. Look at that striped binding!
I used 90″ wide Shannon cuddle minky for the backing it is so cozy warm!
My good friend @kellyannquilts did the beautiful custom quilting for me. I absolutely love the swirls!
This white washed barn lives on my dads property. I brought this quilt with me one day when the kids wanted to go for a swim in his pond. It’s the perfect quilt backdrop!
I love everything about this Offset Star quilt. The bright colors, the stars, the milky, and especially the black striped binding make my heart happy. This quilt permanently lives on the back of the couch and is my go to quilt to cuddle under.
