I managed to sneak in some early morning sewing. I can’t wait to see this Picnic Quilt come together! I mocked it up in @thimbleblossoms Blueprint line and just had to sew it up! (Ignore the lines in the stars 🤦‍♀️)

I love this pattern because it’s a fun one to chain piece. I made all of those blocks in about 2 hours with a few distractions.

The fabric came from @kaymariequiltco she has a lovely fat quarter bundle that works perfectly for this.

Everyone needs a summer picnic quilt right?

Although it make a gorgeous backdrop for this Bare Roots quilt, I'm glad the snow as melted! This one was made using a Fat Quarter bundle of Woodland Keeper, and I love how the darker background makes Maureen Cracknell’s prints stand out.

If you have a FQ bundle you’ve been saving, this pattern is a great way to put it to use!

I really hate tossing out good fabric, especially when it’s from a collection I love as much as Roots of Nature. 🌿

After I finishing the Bare Roots cover quilt, I had enough scraps left over to whip up this casserole-sized hot pad. It’s such a quick little project and it feels so good to actually use up those odd-shaped strips that usually just end up at the bottom of a bin.

If you’re looking for a quick project between bigger quilts, I have a free pattern for this one linked in my bio.
